Tomato Sauce

A very tasty addition to any meat or even for your salad.

Tomato Sauce

Servings 4 people

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 400 g Tine of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Beef Stock (salt reduced)
  • 2 tsp Balsamic Vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat & cook the onion & garlic, stirring for 5 minutes or until softened. Add the tomato, oregano, stock & balsamic vinegar & bring to the boil.
  • Reduce the heat & simmer for 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve with pasta.

Notes

I love how the Balsamic Vinegar gives this homemade Tomato Sauce a bit of spiciness.
